DENR Administrative Order (DAO) No.  2015-07 mandates the accreditation of certain processes currently being implemented in the local mining industry through a certification from the International Organization for Standardization or the ISO. By having a recognized management standard it aims to inform stakeholders such customers, employees, community representatives and regulating agencies that these types of business entities are serious about their needs.

On May 6, 2016, an orientation- seminar expounding on the general concept of ISO certification was held at Café Sienna in Antipolo City, Province of Rizal.  The event was led by the MGB IV-A which invited representatives from the various mining companies operating in the CALABARZON Region. The keynote speaker was Mr. Angel Fernandez, who brought with him his expertise as a Professional Certified Quality Specialist with extensive background on Standards-Based Management System, PSDM Methodologies, Strategic Planning, Leadership and Organizational Development and Project Management Excellence.  He is senior partner and Director of Consulting/Training Services at the AGF Consulting Group-Phils., a Philippine-based consulting and training firm which has presence in the whole of South East Asia Region.

Although some of the non-metallic mining operators have been recipients of the ISO certification in particular, Solid Cement Corporation and LafargeHolcim Aggregates, Inc., others were required by MGB IV-A to secure the same, especially ISO: 14001. AGF Consulting Group Philippines took a list of mining operators in CALABARZON which will be subject to further consultations. Among which are the crushing plant operators in Sariaya, Quezon, namely: Globorocks Mining Corporation, Moonrock Aggregate Corporation, Alcamong Aggregates, First Ridge Concrete Aggregates Corporation, Greenrock Construction and Development Corporation and Tayabas Lime Industries
