To further capacitate and sharpen proficiencies of the deputized and prospective Environment and Natural Resources Officers (ENROs) about existing environmental laws, rules and regulations, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office (RO) No. IV-CALABARZON lent a hand to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) RO No. IV-CALABARZON in the recently concluded paralegal training for ENROs, as the former was tapped to discuss the salient points of Republic Act No. 7942, otherwise known as the “Philippine Mining Act of 1995”.

The intensive three-day paralegal training held virtually last October 13-15, 2021, was spearheaded by DENR RO No. IV-CALABARZON and was participated in by representatives from 34th Special Action Company, 3rd Special Action Battalion, Philippine National Police (PNP)-Special Action Force Infanta, Quezon, Cavite Office of Public Safety-Environmental Protection and Operations Division, Cavite Provincial Government-Environment and Natural Resources Office, and PNP-DENR-Anti-Illegal Logging Task Force, among others.

The activity concluded with soaring hopes that the ENROs were more equipped with knowledge and skills to protect the region’s environment and natural resources from violators who continue to manifest defiance of the existing environmental laws. This Office, along with DENR RO No. IV-CALABARZON welcomed our new allies in the fight to thwart illicit operations.
