On September 5, 2016, MGB IV-A, as represented by Mr. Dondi M. Sarmiento, OIC-Mine Safety, Environment and Social Development Division, Ms. Socorro P. Hernandez, OIC-Geosciences Division and Engrs. Emilio R. Ramos, Chief-Mine Management Division, Krizia Ann P. Alberto, Jennica C. Estepa and Mark C. Perez, conducted a dialogue with Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Batangas in the Conference Hall of the Office of the Vice Governor situated in the Provincial Capitol of Batangas in Batangas City.

Among the board of members of SP who attended the said dialogue were Hon. Ramon I. Bausas, Hon. Carlo Roman G. Rosales, Hon. Arlina B. Magboo, Hon. Divina G. Balba, Hon. Jonas Patrick M. Gozos, Hon. An introduction about mining and its stages, policies, rules and regulations particularly on mining rights/permits issued by the national government and acquisition of local government issued permits and the environmental provisions of Republic Act No. 7942 otherwise known as the “Philippine Mining Act of 1995” and its implementing rules and regulations were discussed to the SP Board Members by Engrs. Krizia Alberto, Jennica Estepa and Mark Perez. Matters on Geological hazards such as landslide and flooding concerning the province of Batangas and its municipalities were also presented during the dialogue. Afterwards, an open forum headed by Engr. Emilio R. Ramos and Mr. Dondi M. Sarmiento, was held to address the questions and clarifications of the participants
