The Mines and Geosciences Bureau CALABARZON conducted the Workshop/Seminar on Processing/Approval of Mandatory Reports/Programs and Requirements Related to LGU Issued Permits on June 27-28, 2017 at the Graceland Estate & Country Club.

The Mine Safety Environment and Social Development Division (MSESDD), headed by Mr. Dondi M. Sarmiento, organized the workshop which was attended by representatives from Quezon PMRB, Provincial Engineers Office, and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office. To formally start the workshop seminar, Mr. Dondi M. Sarmiento gave the opening message and the welcome address by Mr. Danny T. Bernal, NGO, PMRB Quezon.

The topics discussed were the processing and approval of the Environmental Protection Enhancement Program (EPEP), Final Mine Rehabilitation and Decommissioning Plan (FMRDP), Annual Environmental Protection Enhancement Program (AEPEP), Certificate of Environmental Management and Community Relations Records (CEMCRR) by Ms. Adora M. Matabang, Ms. Judith R. Panerio, and Mr. Mark C. Perez. On the other hand, the discussion of processing and approval of the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) and Annual Social Development and Management Program (ASDMP) by Mr. Sonny B. Villar, while Ms. Jo M. Ancla facilitated the workshop on the Evaluation of SDMP. The Processing of Application for Mechanical and Electrical Installation Permit and Annual Safety and Health Program (ASHP) Evaluation was reported by Mr. Rommel O. Aban and Mr. Reginald D. Leoncio. Forms and the formats of reports related to LGU issued permits were also distributed.

The workshop/seminar aims to equip the Local Government Units with the necessary skills and knowledge to evaluate, process, and approve the above mentioned mandatory documents related to LGU issued permits.
